These flies represent the adult form of mayflies, chironomids (midges), stone flies, and caddis flies. When a hatching bug comes up through the water column to make the transition from water insect to flying insect it only has a few seconds to make that change. The more motion the angler imparts to his fly the more likely the take of the fish. They look tasty as they are, give them a twitch and make them look even better. Some of these bugs have high viz indicators added to them, they are available with out them.
